Semester B: Class 1. Concept sign-off

After a particularly long semester break, we got together for the first lesson of the second semester!

Unfortunately, the semester did not begin very well because 3 students of the team decided to quite from the project. So, just the three of us are still here: Noa, Idan and Yuval.  The three of us are Communication students, so from now on we don’t have perspectives of psychology and computer science in our team, and we hope it will not damage our final project.

At the end of the lesson, we received several follow-up tasks during Passover. Because of the Corona virus, we could not meet so we divided the tasks between us.

Eventually we submitted few tasks: UX and paper prototype:

Design assignments:

First, we had to submit a hand sketching of our device and to build it with materials at home.

After the sketching, we started to create paper prototypes with materials we had available. With a little bit of creativity, open mind and faith we succeeded to build an awesome paper prototype and to start exploring it (weight, textures, colors, etc.)

We learned that paper prototype is a great, fast and cheap way to bring ideas into the physical world and developing them!

Besides the paper prototype, we also created a mood board, that reflects our object's look & feel.

We imagine wriSet as a colorful, joyful object that also imparts professionalism and healthcare.

UX assignments:

First, we wrote down list of features, from the most crucial to the least.

Second, we wrote detailed user scenario of minimum prototype in text and divided it to 3 stags:

1.    The user at the physiotherapist clinic.

2.    The user is in the office.

3.    The user finishes the physiotherapy exercises given to her.

In addition, we wrote detailed user scenario of minimum prototype in storyboard.

Furthermore, we submitted a proposal about how to test the prototype in the future. We have two different users – the patient and the physiotherapist, therefore we divided them and wrote to 2 different proposals, which take in account the user's pain points, needs and characteristics.

Tech assignments:

Because our two computer science team members quit the course, we had to recalculate our steps and not to give up.

Although we're communication students, from now on we are responsible also for the technological aspects of the prototype. In addition, we have been assured that we will receive support from the academic staff.

For conclusion, when life gives you lemons – make a Mojito! We hope to turn this situation to a positive chance and to learn a little bit of technology and maybe even to get smarter.

Despite everything, we are confident that we will be able to submit a product that is worthy and professional.
